System Engineer II

Position Description:

This role will design and develop solutions; provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.  Also, develop system architecture and system design documentation. Work with vendors as needed.  A background in Linux engineering/administration and troubleshooting and the ability to work both as part of a team as well as independently (self-motivated) is required.

Requirements:

  • Fourteen (14) years experience as an SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.  
    • Five (5) years additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. 
  • Linux systems administration experience - must be comfortable with command line, troubleshooting
  • Windows Server
  • Virtualization - VMWare
  • Puppet Experience, or able to learn quickly
  • SSP Support - scanning, patching, keeping documentation up to date and support ATO activities
  • IAT II Certification
    • CWIP Level I required to start; Level II within 6 months
  • Must hold a current and active TS/SCI with polygraph.
Desired Skills:
  • 1) Linux systems engineering/administration
  • 2) System integration/administration experience
  • 4) Ability to work independently/self-motivated
  • 5) Atlassian (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, etc.)
