Position Summary:


Working with Director of Manpower and Personnel staff, provide civilian personnel liaison and recruiting support services to customers. Must have in-depth knowledge of Office of Personnel management (OPM), Department of Defense and Air Force policies and procedures for civilian personnel management. Must also have knowledge and experience in developing and processing requests for personnel action (RPAs). HR Specialist will assist staff members in the analysis, evaluation, quality control, and processing of RPA requests. Monitors and facilitates processing, interviewing and screening of applicants.

 


 

Requirements:
 

• Knowledge of basic principles of administration program support
• Skill in communicating factual and procedural information clearly, orally, and in writing
• Ability to learn basic techniques in administration program support
• Ability to analyze problems to identify significant factors, gathers pertinent data and recognize solutions
• Ability to plan and organize work, and consult effectively with co-workers


Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. May supervise others.
 

18-22 years of professional experience without a degree; or 10-14 years of professional experience with a Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education; or 8-12 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree; or 4 years of professional experience required with a related PhD or JD; Considered an emerging authority / authority in discipline. Consideration should always be given for the level of specific domain expertise.
