SOFTWARE ENGINEER III

Position Summary:

This position will be instrumental in the development of the new version of this mission critical application, which provides command and control of devices and assures site security.  The legacy version contains XML and Java, and  MongoDB. The new version will utilize java/javascript, and MERN stack. The developer will assist/mentor junior development team members as needed.

Requirements:

• Twenty (20) years of experience as an SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Four (4) years additional software engineer experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• Strong front-end developer experience
• Ten (10) years of experience with the following:
  • Java Application Frameworks (Spring 3 or 4, Hibernate, or other current Java Application Frameworks) 
  • Object Oriented Computer Languages (JavaSE or JavaEE , C++, etc.) 
  • REST Application Program Interfaces 
  • Web development 
  • Database Management Systems (MySQL, Oracle, PostgresSQL, etc.) 
  • NoSQL Databases (Lucene, Solr, Mongo, etc.) 
  • Lucene based applications (Splunk, Elasticsearch, Solr, etc.)
  • Linux Development and Administration 
  • Eclipse
• Must hold a current and active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
