Network/System Engineer

Position Description:

The Ideal candidate will support the design, implementation and management of multiple customer network enclaves, platforms and applications supporting customer’s Enterprise personnel, physical and IT security functions. This is a hybrid position where experience is required as both a Linux Engineer and a Network Engineer to help facilitate the convergence of multiple stand alone enclaves into a secure cloud environment.

Requirements:

Required Professional Experience:

• (14) years in a technical role in projects and programs for Government or industry customers.
• (14) years, shall have significant demonstrated experience in the following: Designing complex collection systems; integrating systems using multiple operating systems (Solaris, Linux, and Windows 2000); performing tradeoff studies; System performance analysis.
• (12+) years’ experience as a Linux Systems Administrator Engineer with experience as a Network Engineer
• (5) years’ experience in the following: Solaris, Linux, and Windows utilities and techniques to diagnose and correct performance bottlenecks.
• (7) years’ experience developing, delivering, testing and supporting integrated hardware and software systems using recognized industry recognized process management; such as a CMMI Level 2 and above, or NSA Way process structure.
• (3) years direct experience with intelligence community or signals intelligence activity.
• Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.

Desired Professional Experience:

• Experience in Agile methods is desired.
• Experience in implementing solutions with PKl-controlled access is desired.
• Will be required to become compliant with DoD 8570 (Security+, CISSP, etc.)
• Knowledge of Openstack
• Knowledge of Software Designed Networking
• Knowledge in Storage Solutions (Netapp, SAN, Others)
• Knowledge in Splunk
• Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF)
• Strong knowledge of the installation, configuration, and maintenance cloud computing and big data infrastructure to include Hadoop, Accumulo, Kafka, Storm, Spark, and other big data search and index tools
• Demonstrated strong understanding of Ruby or Python scripting
